Community Conduct

The Underground Texas Grotto has been around for more than 50 years and our multigenerational community stretches back just as long. Caving forges strong friendships, partnerships, and frequently relationships. Community is what makes caving so special: cavers regard one another as family, and we must treat each other respectfully in order to continue that tradition for generations to come. That is why we follow the National Speleological Society's code of conduct. Caving is for everyone, and in order to keep it that way, everyone must feel comfortable and welcome. The grotto's leadership is committed to this principle and will pursue complaints accordingly.
